Frankies Corner-Random Thoughts

Good morning fur buddies,  I'm back in control of the blog.  I told mom I wanted my Friday post back.  So I took over the blog today to do just that.  I have some really good poses of me today.  You have to order your humans around just to get them to do what you want them to do.  I may have to fire mom has blog writer and do it myself.  If mom had a car, I would drive to the store and buy the food that I want not that dry stuff.  I even have to beg to get a can around here.  The nerve of her to make me beg like that just give me the can.

Thrifty Victorian Houses

Good morning dear readers, sorry for the absence been sick and had medical procedure done.  I'm back to posting hoping for more of a schedule.  I was able to add to my favourite collection my Victorian houses.  We have a giveaway table at our complex and someone put this lovely picture of a Victorian House out. I could not pass it up.  I just love the Victorian Style with the architectural details which make it an interesting house.  Can you image kids playing hide-n-go-seek in such a house.  You wouldn't be able to find them.  The other little house was one I picked up at the thrift shop too cute with the little snowman out front.  Sorry about the photos had a hard time getting the pictures to come in decent.

Caturday Art-Snowshoe deep thinking kitty

Good morning fur buddies, sorry we missed last week.  Mom's been busy and forgot to post.  I had to scold her because Saturdays are my days.  I expect to be seen in the blogosphere.  I've been practicing sleeping on my blankets and looking cute for the camera.  I think I have it down pat.  Mom just needs to buy a better camera.  So she can get my good side.  Here's my latest pose.  Mom used pic monkey and pi zap her favourites.  Not sure what she used in pic monkey but she put brokeh bubbles all over me in pi zap.  So check it out and thanks for looking.

The Alternative Stroganoff

Good Morning dear readers,  I have a lovely pasta dish to share today.  Normally when you think of Stroganoff, beef comes to mind.  Well this recipe actually uses a healthier alternative ground turkey.  This is an easy recipe to make and I even use the microwave to help out.  This cuts down on standing at the stove especially with the knees acting up.  I went to the thrift shop last week and found an annual cook book from taste of home with the recipe in it and altered it to fit my families needs. So here's what you'll need:

1 lb ground turkey
1 cup frozen chopped onions
1 cup sliced mushrooms ( I used to small cans of mushroom pieces)
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz size)
2/3 cups milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup sour cream
hot cooked noodles

Defrosted ground turkey in the microwave(be sure and cover with wax paper).  Cook for 3-4 minutes until brown.  Then transfer to large dutch oven or skillet and put onions in pot and saute for 2 minutes.  Then add soups, milk, garlic, salt and pepper let cook until boiling reduce heat.  Then let simmer for 5-10 minutes add sour cream return to a gentle heat no boiling.  Serve over noodles. Bon Appetite.

Sorry everyone the rest of the photos did not turn out.  Soon will be returning to murder mystery food look for it.  Joanne Fluke has a new book out with lots of recipes to try out.

Frugal Valentines Day Wreath

Good Morning dear readers, I have a lovely and easy wreath to share with you today.  It did not take long to put together.  Most of what you'll need can be found in your craft stash.  I like the wreath form to represent valentines day- the never ending circle long lasting love.  It took we awhile to figure out how I wanted to make this wreath.  I've had it since last summer.  I've been picking up odds and ends here and there to make this wreath.  The ribbons were on Christmas clearance at 99 cent store for 10 cents a piece.  The garland only cost a quarter.  I think the most I spent was on the adhesive hearts at Walmart for $3.  I wrapped the wreath in the ribbons and put small nails to hold it in and covered the nail with an adhesive jewel.  I  put the adhesive hearts leaving a ribbon space between each one and then wrapped the garland around the bare spots of ribbon and then tying the ends together.  Here's what you'll need to make your own valentines wreath
