Frugal Vegetable Beef Soup

Good Morning dear readers,  here's another recipe I promised to replace not posting the shopping trip.  Yes, we are revisiting my favorite soup base-pasta sauce and tomato soup.  I feel if you have these two items in your pantry. You will always be able to make soup. This is also the perfect way to get your kids to eat their veggies, because their are pureed veggies in the pasta sauce.  This time we used ground beef and mixed veggies and it turned out so yummy.  This recipe is so versatile you can change it up and make your own version.  Who knows I might make a shrimp version?  Here's what you'll need:

1 lb. ground beef
1 jar pasta sauce
1 soup can tomato soup
1 lb. mixed veggies
1 15 oz. can beef broth
2 soup cans water
onion powder to taste

Brown your meat in large pot.  Run warm water over your frozen veggies to defrost them a little. Then place in pot with meat.  Add all your sauces, soup and water mix up.  Season with onion powder. Let come to a boil and simmer covered for 15-20 minutes

here's the link to the other soup recipe using the same base
