Easy Asian Ribs

Good Morning dear readers, sorry for the lack of posts. Here's the first of a couple of recipes that I hope will make up for not posting. I wanted to cook dead man bones the Halloween rib recipe but alas no marmalade(I only use marmalade in this recipe). As you all know I love Asian food. I took my favorite basic barbecue sauce and hoisin and made them into Asian ribs. These definitely are so good and yummy. You will want a lot more. All you need is just 3 ingredients and your oven, So here's what you'll need:

3 lbs ribs

1 cup barbecue sauce

1/2 cup hoisin

Mix the sauces together and then bast the ribs with the sauce. Put in the oven at 400 degrees 45 minutes to an hour. Serve with your favorite baked beans Bon appetite.

Caturday Art-Dreamy Kitty

Good Morning dear readers, I am participating in Athena Cat Goddess Caturday Art Hop. Mom was snapping away with the little blue box much to my horror. Can't the humans understand all I want to do is sleep. Well I do love my people especially my boy but he does have a tendency to hug and kiss me to much. I love to cuddle with my mom at night. What does your human do that annoys you? Mom played in picmonkey and pizap her favourite programs. The photos didn't turn out to bad. I like the last one. It has a dreamy quality.

Thrifting Haul-"The Cat Made Me Buy It"

Good Afternoon dear readers, I was able to pick up one item during a recent thrift store visit. It was just to cute not to buy. It's a book of advertising images from the early 20's and 30's. Plus I thought I might try to draw some of the images. We will have to see how that goes. For your enjoyment here are some of the crazy photos.

Now wouldn't you buy something if a cat was in the ad think about it?

Caturday Art-Paint By The Numbers Kitty

Good Morning dear readers, mom caught me trying to play with the board games this week. I had to suffer while she took photos of me. All I did was try to open something called Risk and lay on some cards with words on them (uno cards). Moms like oh no you are not making a mess with all those pieces. I had to let her take pictures of me sitting on the box. They didn't turn out so well. So mom arted them up and here they are.

Here's the original.

note: this design will be in the shop. You can check it out by hitting the side panel of my shop thanks for reading. Dear readers can you help me get to 1000 likes on fb please like my page.

Going Cajun-Red Beans and Rice

Good Morning dear readers, here's another lovely recipe. This recipe reminds me of the years I spent in Louisiana. It's a hearty and healthy recipe no meat required. The boys just love it so most kids will eat it, especially if my picky eaters like it. Another reason I like this recipe it cooks in my dutch oven. I did cook the instant rice before adding it to the dish. I want to make sure everything cooks likes it supposed too. I had it happen in one recipe that you did not need to precook the rice and that was a disaster. So I always precook rice. I adapted this recipe from recipe lion to fit my families needs. Here's all the ingredients you'll need:

One dutch oven or large pot

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 small onion, chopped

1 small green pepper, seeded and chopped

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1-15 oz can Beef Broth

1-15.5 oz can Red Kidney Beans, drained

1-Bag Cooked Success Rice

Paul Prudhomme Seafood Seasoning just to taste unless you like it real hot.

Saute onion and pepper in vegetable oil in large pot. Cook until onions are clear. Add garlic let cook for 1-2 minutes. Add your broth and let boil. Then place on simmer add your beans and rice to dish.. Then add seasoning to taste. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes. Bon Appetite.
